Well there's another element at play now it seems that makes it harder to follow this strategy of holding winners and discarding the losers. There's a lot of churning of stocks going on with the CDNX so you have to decide which stocks are actually having high volume because of investor interest and which ones are just being traded to get that CDNX volume up. Once I decide a stock is churning I get out and I don't really care when they run it up because it's usually too damn long for me and I'm impatient. I tend to want to play the stocks that have real momentum and real volume ... with these stocks it's easier to follow the hold your winners strategy. You have to be able to tell the difference though and I guess that's what makes it hard.
