Cirruslvr,

<AMD forecasted flat to lower Q1. I believe Intel did the same.>

I just heard Rob Herb on Radio Wall Street. He said

a) Q1 will be flat to down (I thought he said "down" like an afterthought)
b) said Athlon sales will more than make up for k6 unit volume drops.

Now, we know flash is up about 10% and Networking is up mid-single digits. We also know chipsets will be down a bit.

All this at increased margins.

Go figure ;-)

Chuck

P.S.: With all the talk about AMD having inventory I think that it is very likely that Intel will have a demand problem this quarter (and my track record on Intel ain't shabby). Earnings will be up but market share will be down.
