I actually think Nextel would be better off stumbling along selling their walkie-talkie phones and stay away from the additional financing. I agree. Of course then McCaw and other insiders wouldn't have years to unload their interest in Nextel before people figured out that the emperor has no clothes. On the otherhand, a big infusion of cash could allow Nextel to build a state-of-the-art nationwide CDMA network and migrate the current subs over. The way wireless is exploding, and with the data potential, who says there isn't room for another nationwide carrier? Bux Bux
