When metro-fiber is in place people will start complaining that the computer is too slow instead of the network is too slow. That could take , mmmm 2 years. That is an eternity in this business. In the mean time more and more PCs will be running Rambus, it's just that they may not have a compelling reason to upgrade for the next couple of years. (Who knows? Maybe Win2000 will be twice as slow as Win98 and it will spur another upgrade cycle).
