Kerry: Here is my take from a TA perspective. It appears to me that CMTO has formed a long term cup and handle formation and yesterday was the break-out from it. The left side of the cup peaked at a closing price of 35.5 on 4/28/99. The right side of the cup was completed with the close at 29 on 12/10/99. There were two high volume blow-offs while the cup was being formed which occurred on 6/24/99 and 9/2/99 (who could forget those days!). The handle was traced out on declining volume from 12/11/99 to 1/7/00. And, the break-out above the right side of the cup occurred yesterday on higher than average volume. This would suggest that there is a good chance the next leg up could carry CMTO by an amount equal to the depth of the cup to somewhere around 50. Of course, there also is the chance the break-out will fail, which would be indicated by a close under 29. I'd be interested in hearing other's TA opinions. I first bought CMTO when @Home installed one of their modems for me (based on FA that time)and have been in and out several times since. I am currently long and quite bullish.
