Cow, how did you install AOL 5.0? Did you download it from the website or did you load it from a disc? I had a problem with a web download. So I stripped out 5.0 completely, got a disc, and reloaded. You must make certain not to check that box at the beginning which, in fact, allows AOL to in effect take over. I have no problems at the moment. I connect via DSL.

Incidentally, with any program, my procedure is to obtain a disc, if available, rather than use a web download. There are often all kinds of glitches associated with web downloads.

If you have DSL available in your area, you really ought to consider it as opposed to cable. JMHO.

Tec.
