SHARE VALUATIONS:

The market presumably discounts SEG from full valuation of
its software holdings because:

-- tax effect of sale of shares in order to realize the
value
-- mistrust of the current market values of such shares
-- preference for valuations based on bookings, sales,
earnings, market share and other boring stuff like that
to say nothing of share-price MOMENTUM

An even more dramatic example of indirectly buying shares
cheaply (in this case of Taiwan-based chip foundries)
is ALSC.

BUT, how long are you/we going to have to wait to see those
values realized......?
