"Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Brian, since you apparently are saying those that don't interpret the word of God like you have a "different gospel", I think it best to not "spar" with you. That kind of thing in the internet is unhealthy. I'm now an old man. For example, I sparred for awhile with Emile, but that got nothing accomplished in my opinion----his views and interpretations are totally reprehensible to me. He once was even on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ---but I have come to realize that to argue, debate, "put down" another is not good for me. At my age, I need to push away from this kind of thing. I have no interest to go "toe to toe" with you on an age-old debate. In younger years, persons would sit around the dorms in school and argue this stuff and think it great fun---a great debate. Free will is just too important to be battered around the internet using your approach, in my opinion. If you and I think we are "defending God" with our arguments, we are sadly mistaken. If we get in the word and let the Holy Spirit speak to us, he will, he does, and is far more capable of conveying God's gospel (good news) to us than I can do for you and you can do for me. So, I choose not to "debate" with you.
Sir Brian I know your're 'tryin To do What you Believe we're 'denyin
To 'educate 'usuns You've had some 'cussins Then in a spell You condemn to hell When there's too much 'fussins
God has shown me a better way Of what I should say Don't bombast Love outlasts It's just better to pray
My wife has had several near death encounters the past couple of years, medical helicopter ride, then a small medical plane---both super emergencies. I see God's love and plan for our life (and others) with a new awareness---we are grateful for each day.
