Market share issues have haunted Legato for several years and the management of Veritas sounds the alarm at every moment, despite differing technologies and capabilities. Although the competition between the companies has been intensifying, I do think that it is relevant that the $10 million deal with Storage Networks was won by Legato over Veritas because of Legato's superior performance.
