The $1.5 Million financing package should enable CVIA to close the deal on acquiring Texas Video & Post (TVP), as I understand. Latest estimate indicates that should close in the next few weeks. From my experience, acquisitions always seem to take longer than expected. And these things are never assured until they are actually done.

I understand that TVP has something like $3 Million in annual revenue and is profitable. The acquisition should greatly enhance CVIA's position in attracting more business.

They filed their 96 Financials. You can review them at:

sec.gov

I was glad to see their sales increase ($931,747 for 96 compared to $279,198 for 95). Outstanding share growth went from 9.5 million to 12.6 million. EPS was (.05) for 96 compared to (.09) for 95. Assets to Liabilities ratio improved from 2.24 in 95 up to 6.55 in 96.

The UPSIDE as I see it...
The business market in their industry was about $2 Billion in 94 and is expected to go up to $10-19 Billion by next year. Plus the consumer market is estimated at $16 Billion and is supposed to be growing about 65% per year for the next 5 years. So the business should be out there. They just need to go get it. I think they are positioning themselves well and they appear to have a good plan. Time will tell.

The DOWNSIDE as I see it...
They are agressively working the acquisitions. That should be good as long as they keep building SALES! They have shown that they can produce excellent results and land large contracts like the big one last year. And they have several more they are trying to get. But I hope the attention to acquisitions does not detract from a focus on sales.
To successfully keep acquiring, I think it is important to maintain a strong position with the existing business development so that the company can acquire using the strength of stock shares, rather than debt financing. If sales are kept strong, everybody is happy. When sales go down, everything falls apart. My philosophy in business has always been that "nothing happens without a sale!"
