OT: brokers
I use two, Datek and MyDiscountBroker (because you cannot trade OTC:BB on Datek). I also used MSDW before the online guys. In my opinion it's almost impossible to have the kind of returns using a full service broker that you can get online paying about $10.00 a trade, unless you have a really big portfolio and are trading big blocks. Even trading very rarely, the low commissions online make it easy to move money from a stock that's heading south to one heading north. I was up 28% with MSDW over one full year. Not to brag, but I was up 316 % in 1999 using Datek and I am sure many people did even better. I don't expect to be able to repeat that every year of course, but personally, I would never be able to do it paying over $100.00 a trade with MSDW. Instead of going full service, maybe you should ask around and see how the online brokers stack up. I know that NDB for instance has won some awards lately.
