As I was driving in this morning I heard on the radio that Clinton wants every Medicare Contractor to be visited by a fraud investigator! That does it! I am in the process of changing practices currently. That makes the decision for me. I will no longer be a Medicare Provider. Hell, Medicare is by far the worse insurance program I have had to deal with. You have to file claims twice to get paid. You are constantly being threatened with $25,000 fines and 5 years imprisonment for any typo on your claim form or for failing to document your records the way they want it document on any given week. Medicare is the only insurance program around were you have to keep going back to school to learn how to bill the services without going to jail. And now Clinton wants to send a Fraud investor to your office whether you have done anything wrong or not! It is just not worth it anymore! The only reason I continued to mess with it this long was for my patients. I feel sorry for Medicare Patients in the future.
