Given some of the topics (Black Holes, etc) that you have discussed, you might consider The Elegant Universe by Brian Green. This book discusses black holes and everything (and I do mean everything ) else in terms of superstrings. I finished it last week and it was a great read ... best of its ilk I've seen since The Strange Story Of The Quantum (now a very old book). lurking ... and reading (books) lurqer
