No public press for Qualcomm

When Q shot to 400 in late November, it was news. The it died out. Granted, the move from 400 to 760 in late December was big news. But now, with the drop back down to 600 (all pre-split numbers), the public perception is that Q was a "Christmas fluke."

I was watching CNBC much of this week and there was barely a mention of Q, other than its current movement. Even the upcoming earnings statement wasn't mentioned.

A whirlwind is going to occur in the next few days and a renewal of publicity. Q is a gorilla, but in the public's eyes there is an incredibly amount of unawareness and mystery, if you will. Simply, it is not a company with its name on end-products or in television commercials. With the sale of the handset division to Kyocera, that will be even more the case.

Just thinking out loud and anticipating the upcoming attention next week when we start to hear noice like "whisper numbers." The next few days could be huge.
