I realize many don't care much for the interest Corel holds in Rebel but the Netwinder just made it big with Jerry Pournelle, yaknow, that Byte guy.... check out byte.com ...snip Best New Hardware: Rebel NetWinder The most useful bit of new hardware I acquired last year was the Rebel NetWinder Linux box (www.rebel.com) that has become my communications server. It would be capable of being much more, a print server, and indeed a primary server for my whole net, but it has some problems. The little RISC chip is just adequate for the job it does. A much more powerful CPU would be necessary before I could add to its workload. For that matter, there's not enough memory for a much bigger task. There are some other small problems including a couple of mysterious panics when the modem got disconnected from the phone line. Having said all that, I love this little box and I wouldn't part with it. It was easily installed, it's small and compact and... snip... ...dkp... ginnunggap.com
