If I remember right we decided there were different kinds of rape- for example date rape by "normal" men where they decide the woman means yes, when she says no, is a bit different than the serial rapist who rapes anyone.

Now I personally think boys need to be socialized to understand that even if they THINK the woman means yes they better hear her SAY yes or it's a no go. And I would agree that girls need to be told not to be so provocative that men may think their clothes are talking for them. In the animal world we know all about the kinds of clues (lordosis for example) that turn a male animal on. I am sure some postures/clothes/etc do that to human males (well actually I know they do- we covered some of that in college,as well as having it so OBVIOUSLY demonstrated in life) so it isn't (imo) untoward to tell women to (for their own safety) manage their body language. Good lord, we know there is a body language for mugging victims, seems obvious there would be one for rape victims as well- not ALL of them, but some of them. And although I know someone will jump on me for blaming the victim I do NOT blame, I feel I am merely describing. And NO, nothing a woman does should EXCUSE rape (as I know will be said of what I am writing) we must punish all rape, there is NO excuse, but I PERSONALLY would rather change my behavior and not be raped than act any way I choose and be a target and then have to prosecute. And YES, it would be better if men didn't rape but then we don't live in a perfect world yet as is quite obvious from this thread and the rest of the world.
