i've been reading similar articles, in which they refer to 5.0 as AOHell, because of the massive changes that it makes to windows and the ensuing problems it creates.
i'll try to find more on it, though i don't think i can add much to what you've brought.
i've got 4.0 loaded. i use it rarely. it's cool to keep around, doesn't bother me. but i won't do 5.0.
