OT OT OT RE: "there are ALWAYS companies, from here to Japan, coming out with "Cisco killer" routers that get just minute attention" Hi Tony, ...and they keep cropping up too...just got a call at home today (how'd they get my home #?) from a headhunter (are headhunter calls on a Saturday a new thing?) wanting me to interview for a vp mktg position at a router co. (I declined to pursue). About your comment on Cisco. Wasn't you-know-which-company (whose name I won't mention and whose products were reported to be well-engineered) suppose to be the Cisco killer back in '96 (or so). It takes more than a well-engineered product to beat Cisco (the whole company, not just on one product). Thanks for your post on IBM's servers. About your comment on "rocket ship" ... the thread was sort of like earnings day, today. Would someone please turn on the lights? : ) Cheers, Amy J
