Sir John: The Street is not a level playing field. Minefields are all over the place. If you have the chance to take profits, by all means do so. Small, but meaningful profits, when done repeatedly, is how fortunes are made.

I concur with your observation in timing the movements of the stock. It has been predictable since it tanked last Feb. Having DELL in my portfolio is like having an enjoyable hobby -- never boring. I have great fun playing with it. When I leave home, I take it with me along with that cheap plastic card. >g<

Natty Rothschild, when asked if he had a formula for financial success, habitually replied, "Yes, by selling too soon." Perhaps we can learn a lesson or two from him.

My WAG is the fare on this locomotive will be at a discount after the Fed meets. And it is easier to hop on board once earnings are released.
