Fun--Re: Energy--

The recent spike in bldp and other fuel cell stocks is a direct the result of an msn investor article hyping plug, another fuel cell company and recent ipo, as a stock that could return 10,000% in the next decade. plug is a pos. GE has them by the balls and I don't see how they could ever make a dime under the current relationship. (I also don't see that great a demand in residential fuel cell sector...commercial is where it's at.) bldp has greater potential to "make" money as a company (v. making money as a stock.) If fundamentals ever matter again I think investors will dump plug.

Related stocks have run-up quite a bit. I myself caught the train on ida, a hydro energy company, which has a cutting edge fuel cell reformer division, real earnings and pays me a dividend. Not much danger there and...I think those buying ida will hold it.

These FC companies are subject to wild swings based on hype and complete lack of fundamentals. I've traded blpd before...trust me...it will come down again. So will plug...once the psychosis wears off.

There are now about a dozen or so fuel cell and related companies, all naz or amex listed with more to come I'm sure. Some have potential, some are trash.
