HOLDING FOR THE POP:

I am not sure about the time frame you are using, but if
you take a look at what is happening very often these days,
it is simply a matter of "sell on the news" or "sell just before the news" or "sell just before the start of sell before the news"

Thus, (in a short term sense) the pop may already have happened!

Longer term is anyone's guess.
