Folks who adopt a new technology earlier do so because they're in enough pain to risk it.

A friend who knows Gorilla Gaming well enough to write a sequel to the manual is concerned that the tornado will never form around Citrix's product because the fat-client problems do not pose enough pain for the corporate world. In his mind the pain associated with the existing use of networked PCs may not be sufficient for a mass market to embrace the discontinuous innovation Citrix offers.

Are there any other opinions about that (pro or con) out there?
