now that we travel on the backside of Y2K . . . 1) advances will not be as longlasting 2) new QCOM highs will be harder to attain 3) money must be raised for April taxes 4) higher interest rates must be absorbed 5) more sector rotation will be happening 6) many pundits will be spinning stories about end of tech rally one thing working for us will be a concerted effort to devalue the Japanese Yen... the G7 forces have agreed loosely to cooperate in bringing down the JYen... the Japanese economy is primed for a slowdown without such a lowering of the JYen relative to the US$... this means some hotmoney will work its way from foreign lands into the USA, with no looking over the shoulder toward April15th Voltaire talks all the time about The Trilogy I dont know what the hell he is talking about what are they: Houses, Institutions, Federal Reserve??? yeah, yeah, that's the ticket no disrespect, only displaying my deep ignorance again here is another Trilogy: US$ -- JYen -- Euro (read here: DeutscheMark) I think a run for QCOM to new closing highs is very possible it is especially possible on the heels of a split announced Tuesday last closing high was 179+ on Jan3rd I cannot fathom an intraday high over 200 coming up the opportunity I intend to seize is to strap on hedges in stages above 170 we will have a news vacuum of sorts for several weeks after Qearnings I think we will be vulnerable during this time especially with tax selling necessary before April 15th / Jim (tech sharecropper)
