Bux, Thank you for your informative response. I certainly do not have the answers to your concerns. I also did not have answers to detractors or other uninformed investors like myself regarding QCOM. As a result, I did not invest in QCOM. Congratulations on your decision to not only buy QCOM in the first place, but also for holding it for the long haul. Since the 3G infrastructure is planned for between 2 and 5 years hence, it will be difficult to determine which of IDC's patents will be supported and used and also how much revenue will be available to IDC from those patents. The outcome of the ERICY case will also make a big difference in the short term outlook for IDC. What is difficult to disregard is the fact that Nokia is working closely with IDC. When an international powerhouse has a non-trivial relationship with a relative unknown, good things can happen. Examples of this recently are ELON (CSCO, SUNW and MSFT) and EDIG (LU and TXN working with them). The difference right now between QCOM in 1997 and IDC right now is that there are no informed analysts or technical experts on record behind IDC. Perhaps time will change that. Good luck,

Brian
