Greenspan has it wrong. Just that simple. he is trying to keep non-existent inflation down by raising rates at home. The only thing that this is causing is increased costs for those businesses that have to borrow. Eeventually, those costs will be passed along to the consumer and Mr. Greenspan will have caused inflation. With inflation running at 2.5% annually, a 6.75% 30 year bond is ludicrous. Mr. grenspan, shame on you.
