"Old" and Tuck, You two are certainly going back to Financial Management from the first year and Investment Banking from the second year of many MBA programs. I'd say you confusing ELON with junior gold mining ventures, who have no friends and therefore resort to desperate financial measures. (GGG)
It was stated at one point that this company did not go public so much for the money, as for the exposure to the investing public. Seemed consistent to me. I'd go on to say the underwriters gave this one away. But I would quickly pardon them in return for some high profile [positive] analytical coverage, which I feel has been sadly lacking.
Either Ken Oshman or Mike Markkula could probably sustain this company's cash needs for a few year from their personal checkbooks. I thought I'd read that Dr Oshman isn't even drawing a salary, until after becoming profitable, if I remember correctly. However, I could not confirm it in my corporate docs file, which is missing the last 10Q. And my Adobe Acrobat is presenting errors. I even used it as an excuse to clean my home office, but no luck. I was prepared to say this is the kind of information that serious longs tend to uncover, which greatly bolsters their confidence and adds to their fortitude, while the hot shots relying solely on chart signals, haven't a clue.
We are enjoying about 6" of beautiful snow today in the Blue Ridge; and with the power still on, it is quite lovely.
