Prophet, I would agree relative to the DDR but not the SDRAM, these have been around for about 5 six years, and one of the doctrines, as far as I understand, is the diligence in enforcing IP, if SDRAM was infringing on basic IP of RMBS, I would think that they would have to attempt to enforce their IP rights within a reasonable period of their discovery that such systems or devices indeed infringe on their rights, and since SDRAM have been around for some four to five years, it will be difficult to take the stand that they did not realize two three years ago of potential infringement. DDR has Tate mentioned are only coming out, and it is reasonable to assume that it takes a little time to ascertain infringement. Of course, in a legal case, you lay claim to whatever you think might hold and then retreat to what you can really get.
I have read some of the patents as well, but I am not really qualified to determine (without looking at all 100 of them, and all the prior art cited by RMBS which is quite voluminous by itself) even just for myself, what probable outcome should be expected, less so voice such an opinion here. The few I read "seemed" quite solid, but the sampling, unfortunately is much too small.
