...if they set it too low, they would be swamped with buy orders and would have to raise it in my opinion....

I'm really stretching my knowledge of the mechanics, but I thought that it was set at the opening and after that, the option price was driven by the formula that contained all the other factors, i.e., price of the underlying, strike, time remaining, and cost of money.

We're getting over my head now. I'm too simple. I just want to make money..... read that as I don't pay attention to the volatility.
