(OT) - Oil and gas stocks

Based on TA alone oil will break $30. OPEC wants to bring the world to it's knees so that when they do increase production again, oil will settle at a more reasonable level say $22-25. Had they increased production at $25 oil might have gone sub $18 again. Adjusted for inflation $25 is still cheap. OPEC knows this.

I'm 70% oil and gas stocks here and have been for the last 6 months. The last month it's finally paying big dividends. But I've done OK trading the sector during the other 5.

My three biggest holdings here are VPI, OEI and PXD. All will show huge earnings increases this quarter. VPI is a little ahead of itself short term (but still cheap), but OEI and PXD are still excellent buys short term. I expect OEI and PXD to trade in high teens and 20's again by mid 2000.

PXD is around 9 1/2 now. It'll see 10 1/2 this week. When you're on margin that kind of move is still good. The 200 dma is around 10 1/2 so I expect it to consolidate a little around 10 1/2. After that it'll 15+ again pretty easy.

I own others, but these are my core holdings.
