I think you're right that Netscape has made most of its money from the
IPO. But, Netscape *is* everywhere, and is way ahead of everyone else.
Every day Netscape's home page reminds each user that the company exists
as a major web presence. You, or anyone, can buy another browser if you
wish - you'll probably envy those with the newest version of Navigator as
Netscape adds more and more features quicker than the others.

You'll notice that Netscape isn't waiting for web standards to be defined.
They feel they can't wait for committees - web development is moving much
too fast. If you feel a competitive company is a better buy - be careful!
If that company is waiting for the standards, it'll be buried in Netscape's
dust.
