we saw angela's ashes yesterday. excellent flick. not as much detail or richness of narrative as the book. also, the parents were both portrayed as more positive/giving/supportive than i detected in the book. since the audiobook was 18 hours of narrative, no way they could put all that in a 2 1/2 hour movie. i'd recommend it, particularly to a frank mccourt fan like you. cindy liked it a lot.
