This scenario makes a lot more sense to me. If it is true, then Brocade is really not such a gorilla as some gave them credit for. They are still being influenced by their partners heavily.

I am sure the Vixel and Gadzoox proponents would disagree with you.<g> I agree with you 120%. And, it is worth to reiterate that for any big networking companies such as Cisco and 3COM to enter the FC switching business, it will take them at least two years assuming if they can assemble an engineering team.
