Ross Systems Announces Major Thrust in Food & Beverage Sector

ATLANTA, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Ross Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: ROSS), a leading supplier of enterprise systems, announced plans to initiate a major thrust in the food & beverage market focused around business to business e-commerce solutions. The food and beverage industry represents the largest segment of Ross' process manufacturing customer base today.
Ross will execute a two pronged strategy to improve its penetration within the food & beverage sector:
The company's enterprise software group is expanding its offering for the sector to include its new advanced planning and scheduling system, iRenaissance.APS, and its new food and beverage pricing system for complex, extended trading partner environments, iRenaissance PriceLink. These products are integrated with the company's popular enterprise resource planning system, iRenaissance.ERP. The combined offering is being packaged as iRenaissance.Food, Ross' Enterprise Relationship Management (ERM) solution for food & beverage companies.
The company's e-commerce subsidiary, Resynt.com, will be engineering specialized sell-side web sites for the food and beverage manufacturers that want to improve the management of their relationships with customers, distributors and brokers. The Resynt.com solution will be marketed under the CustomerLink brand name and combine the abilities to build e-commerce store fronts and product catalogues, support complex pricing needs, manage the company's knowledge repositories, integrate to the company's ERP system, and manage the technology infrastructure. Resynt.com will also provide extensive consulting implementation expertise to assist food and beverage organizations achieve their e-commerce goals.
