Mr. Brian Hinchcliffe reports
Jordex Resources is changing its name to iTech Capital Corp. Brian Hinchcliffe,
chairman of Jordex, stated: "The iTech Capital name reflects the transformation that
has taken place in the company over the past year from a company with its roots in the
mining industry to a company that is committed to building shareholder value by
participating in the Internet B2B and telecommunications sectors." He further stated:
"As we enter this technology driven new era economy, iTech's goal is to wisely deploy
its assets for the benefit of its shareholders. iTech, through its experience, expertise
and strong relationships, is well positioned to identify, invest in and assist in the
development of emerging technology companies. While opportunities abound, we
believe the real key to building significant shareholder value is being selective and
funding only those companies that have strong management teams, a persuasive
business model and reasonable valuations. In addition, we expect only to fund those
companies that have the potential to emerge as significant and dominant players in their
business sector. To date we are confident we have made such investments."
The name change of Jordex to iTech Capital Corp., along with a new trading symbol,
is subject to shareholder approval. A circular announcing the details of a special
meeting of shareholders to be held March 10, 2000, will be mailed to shareholders by
Feb. 7.
Effective Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, the category of the company has been reclassified by
the Toronto Stock Exchange from mining to industrial.
