That's easy, Jim.

Nokia already had a license agreement with Qualcomm back in '95. No litigation worries there, mate.

I have to wonder if Nokia needed IDC's help. Their WCDMA demonstrations predate the IDC agreement. But, the IDC agreement doesn't predate the Ericsson litigation.

Does Nokia need Qualcomm? I can't argue Nokia CDMAOne phones lead the market in performance.
