(OTC BB:INOW.OB- news) said Monday that negotiations about the potential closing of its second round of financing, slated for the sale of $11 million of convertible preferred stock, have been terminated. The stock was going to be purchased by affiliates of Soros Private Equity Partners and Stolberg, Meehan & Scano, InfoNow said in a statement. As previously announced, the company closed a $5 million investment by two funds advised by Putnam Investments on Dec. 31, 1999. InfoNow also noted that it ``diligently' supports Nasdaq's evaluation of its application for listing, which was submitted when the Putnam investment closed. InfoNow lets channel dependent companies use the Internet to close more sales through local channel partners. The company provides referrals, leads and eCommerce services over the Internet, private intranets and extranets to leading technology and financial services companies, among others. Shares of InfoNow closed at 11-7/8 on Friday, above their 52-week low of 2-1/8 but below their 52-week high of 18-1/2.
