"IABG year-over-year revenues and profits were flat last quarter. Flat performance of the core business of a stock trading at a P/E of 40x is not extraordinary, it's so-so. Ordinary. Mediocre."

Oh I see, Intel's results are only ordinary when compared to their own prior performance. It's like saying Michael Jordan had an ordinary year because he won the NBA championship but Karl Malone won the MVP award. I can live with that. Yes Intel's revenue growth last year (+12%) was much below the years immediately preceding 1997. But to say that this makes its business mediocre is silly especially in light of the tremendous levels of profitability that Intel achieves. Of course I see you've qualified your original assertion and are now saying it is only mediocre in light of its P/E. I will accept your modification because your original statement was truly untenable.
