With more than 20 years of expertise in the telecommunications and computing industries, Cox will spearhead a major expansion of FVC.COM's service provider customer base as the company moves toward rolling out products allowing two-way video over the Internet.

Cox joins FVC.COM from Vertel, a provider of carrier-grade management software and services for next generation networks, where in her position as vice president of marketing developed the company's strategic transition from a software development tools provider to a communications management solutions provider.
She also held executive positions in Fortune 500 companies, such as Hewlett-Packard, Oracle and Tandem Computers (now Compaq), where she drove high-growth telecommunications lines of business that brought next generation network services and systems to the global market. As vice president of strategy for PTT Telecom Netherlands (now KPN) in the early 1990's, she was responsible for network plans and programs positioning the company to deal with newly introduced competition.
