Bluetooth Alliance May Face Disintegration
RDSL 21 January 2000
Frost & Sullivan, analysis company, has unveiled a report which lists radio interference, interoperability and security as the main obstacles to users' adoption of Bluetooth, short-range wireless communications technology.

The Bluetooth partnership is facing pressure and may break up, even before Bluetooth-compliant products are launched, according to the report.

However, the report has forecast that 2.3 million Bluetooth-compliant products will be launched in 2nd-half 2000, increasing to 11.1 million by end-2001.
