Tony, OT & my last post about football

re: "I guess we won't let this thing die"

I would have finished last night but my ISP decided to almost "die", and I couldn't read or post. Hate it when that happens.

re: "The Rams were backpedaling pretty good on defense on that last drive. Emmanuel, Dunn and Alstott were making good gains. 3rd and 9 would not have been unmakeable at all."

And our boy quarterback had complete 5 of 6 on the drive. But there were only 50 seconds left (I think), no timeouts. One thing reported here is that if Dungy hadn't called a timeout then, the play probably wouldn't have been reviewed.

re: "Lucky no cars were overturned back there, or do they only do that when you win?"

They don't do a lot of stuff like that around here, must be a Southern thing. In Chicago, where I'm from, there would have been a riot, and the mayor would have threatened to move the Bears from the NFL to the Arena League (even though he doesn't own them).

Still a great season for TB. A year under the belt for the rookie quarterback, maybe some OL and WR help through the draft and free agency, could have a very good team with a chip on their shoulder next year. Even Jim will have to admitt the defense is awesome.

John
