now that i've given this some thought seems that the after market is good for the options holder because it gives him a couple of hours to sell above the strike price and then exercise his call or buy below the strike price and exercise his put. obviously what's good for the option holder is bad for the option seller. he can't close after 1300 pacific on the last friday.
