Bob I believe you are missing a very important part of
finance 101. At 4q-99 cc Jerry said that AMD was low on inventory
with k-6 but had 300k athlons. So like any retailer you lower the
prices on product you wish to sell. This also has the advantage of raising
AMD'S asps and will actually make more money . If you have a spreadsheet
do the numbers.
Also by raising demand for high mhz chips;because Intel is high mhz chip challenged; AMD should pick up the lion's share of <high mhz chip sales.
