Captain: delaying the analysts meeting until Fri ....looks more like a bad news Fri night that we know they have done in the past

Let's see.

If the earnings were terrible, would it make sense to give the markets a couple of days to wreak havoc before the meeting with the analysts and all the good news about the future which Capellas has already been stressing?

If the earnings are very good, would it make sense........(see above )

If the earnings are ho-hum, would it make sense ...
(see above, but leave out "wreak havoc" and replace with "get bored").

I think the two day hiatus is odd, but none of the above scenarios seems convincing.

Maybe Capellas is a white witch and simply wants to claim back Friday's for COMPAQ - and make them "good news days" like they were before The Fall.
