Summary of systems being sold in San Diego by small computer
stores which build their own computers. Based on advertise-
ments in the weekly ComputorEdge flyer -- a free publication
in San Diego county, weighted by the number of locations of
each company. Small ads advertising a single system are
excluded, also system configurations without pricing.

Trends
------
Over 3/4 of the stores are selling Athlon systems now. Where
AMD and Intel systems are both sold (29 stores), the highest
MHz systems are from AMD in 22 of them. I mentioned that the
first ten ads in the magazine all feature Athlon
systems. The fastest Coppermine is still the 733 (21%) while
24% are selling Athlon 750 systems and one store now has
the Athlon 800.
