I don't know what it is about scientists. The industrial ones want to become academics and vice versa. Maybe it's just wander lust. I can tell you what's going to happen. Nakamura will love the intellectual freedom but will be appalled at the pace his work will get done and the amount of politics in an academic environment. Oh, and he'll really like Santa Barbara <g>. It is good that the US gets an "out of the box" (sorry <g>)thinker..... from Japan, no less. Too bad he's not coming to a university closer to me. CatLady - thanks for the info.
