Depending on how you meant the following, it's probably the most astute thing you've stated all day, IMO:

If, by the foregoing, you mean that the timing of these consortium fiber deployments will be right in line with the exclusivity contract terminations, and that home could choose to ride over these brand new lines at that time, then I send my kudos to you. And/Or, if you also mean by the foregoing that home could use these optical pipes to enter into new markets which are not yet nor will ever be covered by their "partners" antique designs, then I send you even more kudos, in spades.
But if, on the other hand, you were merely poking fun at the opportunity for home to become a service bureau for incompetent utility outfits, then I'll have to send those kudos over to AHhaha, instead, both on general principles, and for previous services rendered to causes which are pure. <grin>
