Tony - Re: "What is your expectation, maybe early 2H2000?" Realistically, I expect ITanium to be launched in October or November time frame. The silicon status is OK and I assume Intel wants to give Server and Workstation OEM's a long time to pre-build systems and run the sn*t out of them with enough slack time to make some last minute changes. This also gives the software guys more time to wring out their OS's and applications - and BOTH TOGETHER ! Think of the challenges !! New CPU with NEW Architecture and NEW instruction set and NEW chip sets and NEW MotherBoards and NEW Operating Systems and NEW applications ..... There are SO MANY THINGS that can go wrong - individually or together ! Paul
