Paul, Re Fall 2000 Itanium Launch You said: Think of the challenges !! New CPU with NEW Architecture and NEW instruction set and NEW chip sets and NEW MotherBoards and NEW Operating Systems and NEW applications ..... There are SO MANY THINGS that can go wrong - individually or together ! I assume the above comments will NOT be part of the marketing blitz? What happens if customers understand all too well what you are saying and want to wait until others test and prove all this NEW stuff? I hope Intel realizes it can't hyperventilate about all the things that can go wrong "individually or together" and then calmly look customers in the eye and ask them to trust their businesses to new EVERYTHING. Don't get me wrong. I do believe. I'm just uncertain about the time frame for implementation and acceptance. dmf, worrier extraordinaire ;)
