I'm sorry Gus, I neglected to mention that Rambus is integral to IB Memory Architecture. The IB Memory Management spec is like NUMA in allowing protected memory allocations and turning non-uniform memory into virtual contiguous memory to processes. IB comes into storage networking first as an IB node via a TCA. When the HCA market arrives to storage networks with IB RAID controllers equipped with memory arrays, the advantages of IB memory controls will revolutionize storage with the storage data access rates approaching solid state numbers.
