MANASSAS, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 25, 2000--SyCoNet.com, Inc.
(OTC BB: SYCD), the leading U.S. distributor of Anime (Japanese
animated) videos and DVDs, has announced the appointment of
Jean-Claude Geha as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating
Officer.
Geha will be responsible for providing end-to-end operational
support for the Company with special focus on Product Development,
E-Commerce, Information Technology, Web Development, Distribution,
Networks, and Communications Services. He will play a central role in
helping the Company achieve its growth objectives as it expands its
products and services and builds its customer base.
Geha has an extensive background in Internet strategies,
operations, marketing, product development, and engineering. He also
has had significant involvement and success in the development of
strategic partnerships and joint ventures.
Prior to joining SyCoNet.Com, Geha built the products and
services unit for Apex Global Internet Services, Inc. and set the
technology direction for that company, including the development of a
highly successful "ISP in a Box" product. This product allows any
company to become a virtual Internet Service Provider including a
large number of value add services. His team changed the company from
a traditional ISP to a full data services and managed applications
provider.
Previously, Geha worked for ten years in the fields of
marketing, operations, and engineering at MCI Communications Corp.,
Inc., where he was a leading member of the team that launched
InternetMCI services. He also was intimately involved with the
creation of international data services for Concert, the Joint Venture
of MCI Communications and British Telecom.
Geha holds a Masters degree in Telecommunications Management
from Southern Methodist University, Dallas and a BS degree in
Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
